Question:
Is anyone else having a problem keeping the actigall down?
The only time that I throw up is when I take the actigal. It just seems to get stuck no matter what I take it with. — chicozcarol (posted on January 27, 2006)

I had that same issue. I spoke to my surgeon and he told me that some
people just can not tolerate the actigal- so he told me to stop taking it.
He said that it was precautionary and not mandatory. You should talk to
your doc. For the record, I am 2+years out and I have had no issues with
my gallbladder. Best of luck to you on this wild ride!!!

I had to open the capsule, mix it into a tablespoon or so of unsweetened
applesause and add a little splenda.
That stuff is nasty. Try to not breathe in when you eat it.

I started taking it and only managed two days. Both days I had an upset
stomach and couldn't hold anything down. My Dr. told me some people have
problems with it and I think I am one of them! I quit taking it and felt
fine the next day. I did take it with food and I allowed several hours for
my stomach to settle, but it never really did. It was too hard to eat
feeling that lousy.
I've decided that if the gb needs to go in the future, so be it!
