Tracy, I think your choices are okay. I wouldnt worry about the calories
since you really wont be getting in more than 600-800 a day. So I think you
are doing fine. I also take the Flintstones, My only comment on those is
how is the world do the kids run for those things, YUK. I think my taste
buds are shot.

yup...Isopure is okay. So are the others. You will need to experiment a
bit to see which ones you like best. There is a Nutrisport near work that
sells the pre-mixed Isopure in the bottles cold from the fridge. It
reminds me of Koolaid. A bit too sweet, but just the thing when I haven't
planned a good lunch and haven't had enough protein for the day. I really
like flintstone vitamins....and took them for the first 12 months pre-op.
I even gave them to my mom as she had trouble swallowing the big vitamins
but liked the Flintstones. The nurse thought that was pretty funny when I
took all her medications in to show them what she took. They got a good
giggle from her vitamins. Shudda hid 'em.

Tracy,
Isopure is a good product, but for one serving you really should do only
one scoop instead of the 2 scoops it says to use. Each scoop has 25 grams
of protein, but our bodies are really only able to absorb about 30 grams at
a time, so the 2 scoop serving would be wasting 20 grams each time.
Another very tasty brand is ProBlend 55. I love the Mocha-Cappachino
flavor in the morning. I was able to buy both brands from www.vitalady.com
and her website tells all about the different brands and how they compare
in nutrition.

As was mentioned, stick to 30g increments. So, 1 sc of Iso or PB55, but 2
sc of Designer or PS100, for example. ROUGHLY 30g. I would not count
anything you put with it as protein, since any food proteins needs to be
digested (milk, yogurt), but the powdered proteins mentioned are all
predigested (chemically), so absorption is not the same. You can always
use water & ice, a few fruit slices, some peanut butter, or the vast
range of sugar free latte syrups. For example, Spiced Chair in vanilla
reminds me of pumpkin pie or spice cake, sorta.
