Question:
I am meeting with my surgeon for the first time

on the 20th of June.....can anyone please send me a list of questions I should be asking my surgeon, I have my own set of questions, but I dont want to forget anything ....My current BMI is 39 and I weight 248Lbs......Thanks guys for your help.....Jannette    — Jan D. (posted on June 10, 2007)

Make sure you ask about what his infections percentage is for the patients. Also how many surgeries has he done? I get a B-12 shot once a month does he want you to do that? I hope that some of this has helped. Liz

Ask about taking your vitamins and supplements, what, how much and for how long, ask about iron, especially and in what form. If you are taking other meds, ask about when to stop taking them and when to resume post op. Ask what to expect during surgery and what type of follow up care you will get, make sure the doctor has a comprehensive program.
