you will be advised to bring your medications to the hospital and they can
be administered there. you will receive instructions on how to proceed
with your meds prior to discharge.

I was able to continue with my blood pressure medication as well as my
effexor and wellbutrin. I do not crush them but take them whole with
water. Each doctor is different so go with what they say.

Just had my surgery on June 2, 2009. I continue to take blood pressure
meds and fluoxetine. My doc has me empty out the capsules and eat it in
jello (first phase). I'm tired of jello so now I'm putting it in yogurt
which disguises the taste better.

I was on two different types of BP meds b4 surgery and have never had to
take them again. My bp runs around 105/65 now. But let your surgeon guide
you. Good luck on your journey.
