Well, my surgery was done at the Cleveland Clinic so I saw everyone there.
I had to have several tests. Upper GI, heart monitor, chest xray, blood
work and more I think.

Tamara it will depend on your surgeon's office and your insurance. I
started with an informational meeting (it was with a group of 30) then had
my individual appointments with a nutritionist and psychologist and small
group appointments (5 people in the group) with the nutritionist (again)
and physical therapist. After all of those appointments were taken done I
saw the surgeon who then sent all my paperwork to the insurance company.
Within 2 days of my surgeon's visit I was approved and had my surgery date!

I had blood work, chest xray, Scope of my stomach, he reviewed by
colonoscopy (thank God he didn't make me do that again) but that was about
all. It really depends on your doctor. Some people have to actually start
a diet plan with the NUT.
