Hi Shannon, After fills I was on liquid, then soft diet for 24 hours each.
Then, I just played it by ear. The biggest thing is to make sure you eat
slowly and chew, chew, chew. After fills I find that if I don't do that, I
end up with the 'foamies'. I also find after each fill that there are
foods that I can't tolerate anymore for a while. My best suggestion is to
just go slow!

Burping and hiccoughing is perfectly normal after lap band.
How much each person can eat varies, just be sure to eat 70% protein and
30% veggies at each meal. Eat all of your protein first and then move on
to the veggies.
1/2 cup equals 4 oz and that sounds about right for your pouch. Question,
why are you eating mushed beans?

You should be on liquid or musshy foods for at least 24 hours....you should
be eating between 1/2 cup and 1 cup of food at any one setting....always
protein first.....make sure you chew to mush and DO NO DRINK while
eating.....that is very important as you will wash away the food you just
ate and be hungry quicker.......it doesn't matter if you have restriction
or not you should not be eating over 1 cup.....when you do you can cause
your pouch to stretch so keep in small quanities.....you will know you need
another fill when you start getting hungry between meals or want to eat
more than you are suppose to.....this is a great site but you might also
check out Yahoo Groups and type in Bandbuddies,,,,,,,most of thier post
deal strickly with lap-band and it full of great information......so you
can have two sources to turn to for help. Pam / Ft Worth.....Bnadster

After my fills, my doctor has me on all liquid diet for 24 hours then I can
eat. My doctor has me drink a cup of liquid after he does the fills to see
if it is too much before I leave his office. My doctor told me that
sometimes if I am still hungry, it could be head hunger and I really try to
evaluate that thought when I do get hungry because if I want to eat, and I
try, it won't go down so I know it is head hunger.

As everyone has said, first allow your band to settle for 24-48 hrs. after
the fill. Then I would recommend proteins for a long time. If the food had
a mother it is good for you, not only meat, fish, prok, chicken, but
remember eggs, cheese, look on our group,. Its up to me for some great
recipes. Good luck
