Question:
Is anyone taking ultram er?

Hi Sandy, I'm almost three years out and thought that I could handle taking this med and alcohol. However, speaking only from personal experience it is something I will never do again. The combination of the drink and the meds caused me to practically pass out within minutes of combing the two. You may be different and it may not have the same effect on you that it did on me, but if you decide to try this please don't be behind the wheel of a car. I only had the one margarita which normally doesn't bother me. But thinking that since I could handle the alcohol made me think I could handle it and the meds. Won't do that again, but that's my personal choice. Good luck on what you decide.

Iam 5 years out and have been taking ultram on a regular basis for the past few months. There is no way i can take ultram and have any alcohol . Even a sip or two gets me sick to my stomach and very dizzy. The doctor and the pharmacist both told me no alcohol while taking this medicine. So of course i tried, what could just half a drink sipped hours after i took a pill do... welll... no good at all . i now know and will never again do that. It's just not worth it. Besides alcohol is nothing but an empty bunch of calories that i can do without. Maybe sometime in the future i can go back to having my sambuca and express (decaf) .

Just curious is the ultram for pain related to the surgery??
