Question:
Have you tried Bariatric Fusion vitamins?

I purchased and tried the Bariatric Fusion vitamins (both flavors). I find they leave a nasty film in my mouth. I have a partial plate and had to clean it throughly after taking the vitamins. Has anyone had this problem? Do you have a solution? I'm planning my surgery for next month and want to have my vitamins figured out before then.    — nanalois (posted on April 19, 2009)

I also had the same problem with the nasty taste. I didn't want to waste them since it's was good money put out for them, so when I have the vit in my mouth, I will have a small amount of food to chew on also, something easy like cottage cheese or a FF/SF pudding, just a tiny bit while chewing the fusion vit too and I found that to help with the icky taste. I've taken them, too... but found that I just couldn't remember to take them 4 times per day. Plus, they had no vitamin K, and the calcium is only a combination of the one they want us to take - citrate - mixed in with calcium carbonate. I now take a liquid vitamin from the Max Muscle store, called Max Vit-Acell. It's citrus in flavor, like very strong orange juice. You only have to take it once a day, and since you have to take a whole ounce of it, I use it to take my other pills, like my thyroid pill, and my biotin (which I'm taking extra of), and my vitamin K pill, which I only bought because Fusion didn't include it, so I'm just taking it until it's gone. I'm also taking Max Muscle's Calcium Citrate pills.... they're like a huge sweet tart, except that after you've eaten them, they leave a slightly bitter taste in your mouth. I always just swish with a mouthfull of water or tea, and it's gone.

on anything i can not swallow(800 motrin for ex..)i put it in my yogurt, cover it up and bit and put it on the spoon where i can't see it and put it in my mouth with the yogurt and swallow it right down...i never feel it or taste it so it goes right down...this really works well...hope it helps...you can also use applesauce or pudding.
