From lectures, seminars, my doctor, and speaking to other post op patients,
whey protein seems to be easiest to digest. I've seen soy protin, and I
have tried that. But it seems to "sit" in my system, whereas the
whey protein seems to be easier to tolerate. Even though it's 1 1/2 years
since my surgery, I still have a whey protein shake several times a week.
Did you try a different brand? I use the IsoPure, and find it's taste
acceptable. Other people have said they find the taste "too
gritty". No every protein shake is tolerated well. There is the
Prostat 64, another protein subsititute. But many find it's taste too
strong. Ragdolldude

You could try powdered egg protien.

If you are looking a good protein I suggest you go to a GNC and buy it. I
have found some their that is great. It comes in many flavors, such as
banana cream, orange cream, cookie and cream.....the orange is my favorite.
I drink it everyday because I know I do not get the protein I need in by
eating. I use it in sugar free ice cream to make a great milkshake. That is
how I do mine. I do this one time a day. It has 20 grams of protein per
scoop. So with the milk and the ice cream you get in a good amount of
protein in one drink. Good Luck!

I just found a low carb. Slimfast shake. Only comes in Choc or vanilla but
I am tolerating it great. Each can has 20g Protien. Only problem is I can
only find them At Rite aid.
