Question:
Does anybody know a good multi-vitamin that I can get at a regular grocery store or
Wal-mart? I don't like ordering on line I don't have a credit card so it makes it difficult I've tried centrum chewables but there kinda nasty. What were and how many do you take? Any help here is appriciated! — HAILEY (posted on July 11, 2006)

I get Women's One a Day at Costco - maybe you or a friend is a member? I
get that kind for the extra calcium. However, my mom (same surgeon, rny
'92) gets an off brand at Walmart. We both make sure they have at least
18mg of iron. I think her's has more than mine, though! We both take 2
daily. My profile has a list of vitamins I take, if you're interested. I
don't blame you for not ordering online. I don't like paying shipping!
Take care!

Believe it or not I actually take the VitaBear gummy vitamins. They are
delicious and I have never had a problem with my vitamin levels. I buy
them at Costco because you get more for cheaper but Walmart and Target sell
them as well.

I get both of these from Walmart Citracal the right calcium Creamy Bites
with citrate. I like the Caramel and the chocolate fudge. I also take
Viactiv multi vitamin for women. It's also a soft chew. I like the milk
chocolate. I am a true chocoholic and this takes care of my sweet TEETH.

I am pre-op and my Dr. said to take a Pre-natal vitamin. I just went to
Meijers to get that. They seem to be doing something good, as I have felt
a ton better being on them. Good Luck!!

I got mine from wal-mart, the kids chewables. i know you said that ordering
online is a hassle, but if you can look at vitacost.com, they offer name
brand vitamins and supplements at 50% off and they even list the nutrion
label that u can read. or you can try trader joes, if you have one near
you.

Hi Hailey- I'm 9 mos out today. I take Hair, Skin & Nails. Get them at
Wal-mart. They are 3 a day, so a little much-- but they are working. I had
a followup appt yesterday and my bloodwork shows that all of my vitamins
etc are at levels they need to be. Good luck finding a vitamin--

havent been any difficeincies! Also, GNC has a new Strawberry powder
liquid vitamin that is really yummy. I mix mine in a vanilla protein

Like several others I was told to take 2 Flintstones a day (or a similiar
generic brand). I also take B-12 and Iron but for calcium I was told to use
2 extra strength Tums a day but I have to space them out so there's a few
hours between the calcium and iron.

I was told just to buy the walmart brand prenatal vitamins, they are like
$5-6 a bottle. I take two a day. Also I have to take the sublingual
B-complex, which is also at walmart, for about the same price. The
b-complex i take once a day in the morning. I also take calcium 600mg,
twice a day, which I get at the Dollar General store, for $2, for a bottle
of 60 pills. What can I say...I'm cheap :)

I buy "Women's One Source" at Walmart and take 2 a day. I am
almost 4 years out and they have worked great, I have had no problems, and
they are not too expensive.

If your doctor still wants you on chewables...I did Flintstone's for a
while. There is also a brand out there called Kidz, that you can find at
some vitamin stores at the malls...they actually don't have a bad taste to
them. I still stick with the chewables and I'm 3 years out.
