Quite honestly, I think protein bars are nothing but weight loss surgery
candy. They trigger a deeper urge for chocolate and other candy, in me
personally. For a while I could NOT stay away from them...So be careful!
Eating protein from REAL foods is always your best form of protein...If you
can handle a protein bar, you can handle healthy real food...With that
said, I love "Oh Yeah Wafers" Vanilla Creme, my fav...They are
not protein bars, but are light crispy, crunchy, creamy covered cookie
wafer thingies! LOL They melt, so do not leave in the car! I was buying
them by the case at one point. They were addictive and I had to give them
up totally. I only by protein bars when I am running on a tight schedule
and may not have time for a meal...I then carry a protein bar around in my
purse on those rare occasions, because again, they are a HUGE trigger for
chocolate/dessert food for me...and they do go totally against my own
desire to eat healthy food that still resembles a natural form of
food....Protein bars are as far from natural and processed as processed
gets! So beware! They are addictive if you were one who likes sweets and
cannot stop once you start! But one good thing is most do not taste all
that great anyway...My Nut told us from the beginning (6 years ago)to stay
away from them completely...I get that now...
