Katie, Google Cottage Cheese and look for the Cottage Cheese Page...loads of recipes for cottage cheese which has more protein oz. for oz. than meat. If you email me, I can copy and paste many others to you. I am sending you an email from within oh.com Lyn

Katie...another neat website which was also developed by a lady who had gastric bypass...it is www.livingafterwls.com...many recipes and other info there. And I believe that 20 kilograms converts to about 44 pounds...you have done good, so get yourself back on track! Good luck!

Katie, My favorite book - with recipies is called Before and After by Susan Leach. She describes her life before gastric bypass and after. She has many recipies that you may find very helpful. Congratulations on your weight loss. Keep up the good work. I had my bypass on Oct. 22, 2008 and have lost 120 pounds. Hard to believe but wonderful. Jane

OK-First, cut out pasta, rice and breads for a while. Try protein first, 2-4 oz at every meal. Eggs(scrambled, poached, deviled) chicken, turkey, tuna, fish, cottage cheese, etc, as well as a protein supplement, like a shake every day to get 60-70 grams protein daily. That will rev up your metabolism and help you keep muscle and give you energy. We were told eat protein first, then you can have veggies, fruit, carbs. I am nine months out and eat 3-4 3 oz meals of protein daily. I have lost over 90 pounds. Lots of sites for recipes, but you can be creative, for example: Like lasagne? Layer sauce, meat and ricotta and you have lo carb lasagne. Also, make your food and plan ahead so you have things to eat. Good luck! Vippie

Katie, I have several friends in Oz, so nice to meet ya, M8. You can get almost any recipe you might be wanting on the internet, just type in recipes and what style cousine. (cajun/creole recipes, Italian recipes, Mexican...etc.) You can also type in the specific name of the dish, (such as chicken and sausage gumbo, ravioli, etc.) and it should give you a number of options. The better half and I have been chefs in several restaurants and I'm already chomping at the bit for variety. I had a GB on the 2nd of July this year and my taste have totally changed. Good luck and hit me up if you like anytime. Dusty @};-
