Laurie
If your pre-op diet is like mine was then your blood sugars should do just
fine. I was on a low carb, low calorie diet and my blood sugars were
normal. Good luck on your surgery.

How exciting and wonderful for you to be approved for surgery. My diabetes
type 2 was totally out of control before my surgery, even tho i watched my
diet. After surgery they took me immediately off my shots (160 u per day).
took me off all pills. No side effects and within 2 weeks my diabetes was
under normal readings !! So you have chosen well to get rid of weight and
free of diabetes.
As stated before, low carb, low sugar is best before surgery. do your best
and you will be fine. Keep us posted. shalmar

To be truthful, not much. You diet is suppose to be zero carb. So, there
goes your sugar. So it should be a breeze. Good luck, and maybe your
diabetes will go away...~~~danielle
