Question:
Unable to eat
I am 1 month post op and unable to eat. Only liquids will stay down. Anything like yogurt, or applesauce I throw up for long period of time. Any suggestions?? — flutterby52 (posted on May 25, 2007)

Please call your surgeon right away. You might have developed a stricture
or even an ulcer. My friend was the same way and she had an endoscopy done
and they found the stricture and an ulcer. I hope you get to feeling
better soon.

I developed an ulcer 1 month out, I had the same symptoms as you please
call your dr. and schedule an endoscopy, that was two weeks ago for me,
after meds. and liquids I am fine now, it just takes a little time, don't
let it get you down. Best of luck to you!!

Sounds like a stricture to me - you need to contact your surgeon
immediately - you could get dehydrated very quickly and that's dangerous.

Hi Maxine, call the surgeon, stricture or another physical problem can be
on the rise. This will not fix itself, you must get help! Please don't
wait. It is NOT life or death (from what you say and in my opinion), but
it is misery until you get it fixed. Take care, Patricia P.
