Question:
WHAT WEBSITE GIVES YOU ALL THE INFORMATION, FOR FREE!!!

Does anyone know of a free website, that informs you of what vitamins and minerals that should and should not be taken together. Also, in what sittings. Thanx to all in advance. BALTIMORE, MD    — JUNE P. (posted on December 29, 2002)

Try MSO.com Dr. JOhn is the nutritionist. Even if you would like to give him a call. I believe that they have an 800#. He is so nice and very knowledgable. I'm sure that you will find some answers here.

go to www.vitalady.com and click on the contact us. Address Michelle and tell her what you need. She and her husband are both bypass patients and they only sell stuff we can take. Also you dont even have to buy, Just ask her for "the Program" She sent me pages and pages of stuff via e-mail that tells why and when and how much of what to take. I thought this was just wonderful on her part. I have read and read what she sent me. It was so informative. She even has a schedule of labs. Good luck P.S. She did not ask for one dime. Her mission is to help bypass patients.

I might make a few enemies here, but a word of warning about vitalady.com. A friend of mine and I ordered a sugar substitute for baking... according to the website it was perfect for her. Well, they made a substitution on purpose. Apparently Vitalady couldn't get the item they described on the site anymore so they made a substitution because they were pretty similar. The sub product actually had a lot more sugar in it and we had to send it back. They admitted making the substitution and having incorrect info on the site. They also only refunded the product cost, not the shipping we paid. I emailed to inquire about it and they never got back to me. My advise is to ASK YOUR DOCTOR about his specific requirements for vitamins and nutrition. He only knows exactly what type of surgery he did, and by now should have a program to help you be successful. I am sure that the people at Vitalady are nice and all, but they are not professionals in medicine and nutrition, and information from them should be considered anecdotal or sourced from the people who manufacture the products they re-sell! Good Luck!

I agree with the previous poster. DO NOT depend on any web page to give you the answers you need. I coordinate a support group in my area and although we have lots of answers, the answers are only good for each one of us individually. Everyone is different and only you and your doctor can give qualified answers to you questions. Everything else is just self educated suggestions. Your needs may be different from the next patient. I have trouble taking calcium caltrate...it makes me ill....so rather than taking nothing I take viactiv which many on this site say is usless. BUT my doctor says it is better than nothing and I trust him much more. Open distal RNY (2-23-02)starting weight 317. Now -139lbs.
