try adding half a banana to it or some other fruit..i drink the isopure
vanilla everyday with a banana. without the fruit it tastes horrible. and
don't forget that your body will only absorb 35gms of protein at a time, so
don't bother drinking all 12 ounces. cut it in half.

I find that the following things help the taste of protein shakes quite a
bit: 1) coffee. Either a splash of brewed coffee (not hot) or a few grains
of instant really help to mask the taste of the protein. 2) ice in the
blender 3) pudding mix. I sometimes add a half-teaspoon of sugar-free
pudding mix to the blender as I make my shake. It changes the consistency
and taste for the better. 4) a little bit of vanilla extract -- just a
bit, plus some Splenda in the blender makes the difference between
"yuck" and "yum". 5) I drink mine through a straw.
Don't ask me why, but it cuts down the taste significantly. Maybe because
it doesn't touch my lips or something -- I just find it much more palatable
that way (and it's been cleared by my surgeon). 6) variety. For those
days when I don't want a creamy shake, I use ABB Extreme Pure Pro Grape or
Tropical Punch flavors, add ice, water, and a splash of orange juice and
I'm good to go. Tastes like koolaid. I hope some of these suggestions
help. Keep at it until you find something you like. Protein is so
important to our recovery and health maintenance, as well as our success
with WLS (IMHO)!

Hi, I too don't like the taste of shakes, but take them to supplement my
protein intake. My mom ordered the sugar free syrups from VitaLady.com for
me. I got it today, added some to my shake and WOW!! I couldn't believe
that I was drinking a shake. I got the cookie dough flavor, but there are
many others and the bottle is big, for the small amount she paid. I
suggest trying them. :)
