Question:
I'm so excited, my surgical consult is tomorow and the only thing left is my letter

to the surgeon stating why I want surgery, there are so many reasons but I'm so excited and nervous at the same time I can't think straight any body want to through ideas out there , my basic reasons are I don't want to end up like my mother who has so too many health problems to count from her weight and for my kids I'm so tire all the time I don't even have the energy to take them to the park! any help is appreciated, and good luck to everyone on there journey!    — HAILEY (posted on February 13, 2006)

Hi Hailey, I know everyone has their own reasons for wanting the surgery, however, the docs in my screening process seemed pleased that I listed my reasons in priority with number 1 being my health and longevity, number 2 kids/family, etc. Listing your health/yourself first shows that you are seeking to have the surgery for the "right" reasons.
