GNC sells this product called Designer Whey that comes in fruit flavors
like Orange Mango and a couple of others. They're a lot lighter than the
"milk shake" kind of vanilla or chocolate protein supplements. I
was making them up with 4 oz of water when I first came home and it made it
a lot easier to get my protein. Really important to get your protein. It
helps you to heal. Good Luck!

GNC sells a product called Meal On Lite, it is a whey protein and it comes
in convenient envelopes, pre measured. I have a magic bullet. I buy
Breyers Carb Smart Ice Cream 4g, and scoop into bullet, I add a few frozen
raspberries and one envelope of the Meal On, and a splash of milk, and
whirr in bullet, it makes an awesome shake.

I found a protein powder called Syntrax Nectars and they are good! The
latte one is yummy! I also tried Green Apple and Fuzzy Navel! I have no
problem now taking my protein

GNC sells IsoPure whey protein powders, and protein drinks. I can tolerate
the powders OK, but don't like their other drinks. It's all a matter of
taste and texture, which may have changed since surgery.

Have you tried it mixed with milk or are you able to do that? I'm
scheduled for bypass surgery the 3rd and have been drinking the protein
drink for 10 days. The only way I tolerated it BEFORE was in milk (2%).

GNC also sells Anywhey Tasteless protein powder. It is not 100% tasteless,
but it is about 90-95% tasteless. When added to crystal light (any flavor)
there is such a tiny difference in tasting the protein. This is the only
stuff that I could afford that I could tolerate. Good luck, God bless and
welcome to the losing side!

The same thing happened to me. I found a solution. I purchased the
protein "shots" with 42 g. of protein. They kinda' taste like
koolaid. They are called "New-Whey" liquid protein. First thing
in the morning I use a 32 oz. insulated glass and put a "shot" in
with a packet of Crystal Lite lemonade. I then put my liquid fiber (no
taste) and fill with water and ice. I sip it all day. That gives me my
extra protein along with my fiber and 32 oz of my liquids. It's good and I
tolerate it well. C. Garber

Lori, try Isopure Orange (get it at GNC) I mix 10 ounces with a Crystal
Light Orange drink mix (for water bottles) and blend them in the bullet and
then pour over ice - it taste like an Orange Julius and goes down easy -
there are 20 grams of protein in 10 ounce and no real carbs to speak of.
Good Luck!

I had my surgery on the 19th and Isopure/blue raspberry ready made drinks
saved me in the protein department. My husband would line up the little
ounce cups with the liquid and I would drink them every few minutes all
day. They kind of taste like gatorade! Blue Raspberry is very light
tasting. When I'm out of this case, I'm trying the green apple! Good
luck.

Keep looking for something you can tolerate. There are several different
types of protein... soy, whey, eggs, etc. They all taste different. Check
out Beneprotein or other unflavored protein powders and mix it into
something with a strong taste. You can buy drinks, pudding, broth, shakes,
etc.
Some of supplement websites will let you buy a sampler with several types
or flavors... cheaper than buying one type and not using it cuz you hate
it.
Good luck.

Try mixing the powder with milk or juice or something. That yucky powder
would gag anyone! ;-) ;-) ;-) [Just a little humor to brighten your day
Lori. Seriously, I have a recipe that I like a lot. Drop me a personal OH
message if you want more info.]
