Just eat until you feel full and stop. Keep doing this forever and you will be a weight loss success!

When I first had my surgery, I had to force myself to get my protein shakes in, it was difficult, but I drank a little bit at a time, I do not recall drinking the whole shake at one time when I had my surgery. I am like you, I freak out worrying about stretching my pouch out, so I limit my foods to to 1/2 cup of protein. I am close to two years out, and I still limit it to 3/4 of a cup of food. I never eat junk food, so I eat more times a day because I wasn't able to get in all my protein a day eating 3 times a day. Please see your nutritionist for advice.

I am a year out..and I MEASURE my food and usually can't get in much at one time so I save the rest for a bit later. I have to eat many SMALL meals perday...and my snacks are fruit or jerky..but I use two scoops of Dymatize in the AM with a bit of coffee and almond milk and that gives me 55 grams of protein in one drink..but it takes me an hour or so to get it down.

im only 6 weeks out but i can tell you its better to stop eating and save it for later then try and guess when your full, if your eating and it starts to hurt youve already eaten to much,

If you think you might be full... stop, wait 5 minutes and see if you are still hungry... probably won't be. Some of us know we've hit our limit because we burp, start sneezing, or our nose starts running. Weird, huh?

I am 2 1/2 years out. I stop at about 3/4 cup. I will save it for a bit later and about 2 hours later may finish it, especially if it is protein related.. The main thing is to get the protein in and required liquids in. I am working hard at incorporating the veggies and try to use them as snacks ie: cauliflower, snap peas, carrots and broccoli.
