Question:
Should I talk about it to my doctor first?

I did. I went to my doctor to see his take on WLS. Luckly, he thought it was a good idea for me. Also, most insurance companies require 6 office visits wih your PCP.So, this would count as your first visit. Just make sure he/she documents it in your file. The way its working with me is I saw my doctor in February. I went to the information seminar and the bariatric surgeon in March. We're talking August for surgery. Good luck in your quest.
