Do the Biotin, but also take a good "liquid" vitamin / mineral
supplement like VEMMA. Vemma has 1000 IU vitamin D3, an absolute must for
WLS. Go to www.TrySomeVemma.com Minerals are vital in helping "hair
loss". Good luck !

Hair and nails are made up of protein. I started losing my hair at about 4
months out. I am now 5 months and losing not quite so much. It happens
after surgery due to stress and anesthesia. Biotin may help. Vitamins won't
hurt but get your protein even if you have to use the protein bullets. I
could not for several months tolerate the protein powders and started the
bullets 2 daily recently. Focus on fluids and protein as soon as possible.

Hi I had surgery 3 years ago I always make sure I get enough protein and
used to take Biotin but nothing seemed to help me. So I heard about these
pills called Hair skin and nails by procaps. You can buy them at
www.procapslabs.com and they really work for me. The other brands of the
same type never worked for me like these have. I hardly lose any hair now.
I no longer take biotin because these work much better. I hope i've
helped take care, Jeannie

It will happen to you from 3 months to about 7 months but if you take
3000mcg of biotin a day plus be sure to get all your protien in daily it
will help. Using nioxin shampoo and conditioner helps too! I am 3 yrs out
and these things helped me...but I start again to lose hair at 12 months
due to messing up and not getting in enough protien.

Take the biotin but also take hair skin and nails. I started losing my
hair and I was taking biotin, it didn't stop till I started to take hair
skin and nails. It had Zinc and zinc deficancy will cause hair loss. Good
luck

Hi Dborah!
I am 2 1/2 yr out and definately understand what you are going through. I
had the most hair loss during months 6-9. They say it's because of the
very little protein you get the first 3 weeks of surgery. I have found
that the Hair,Skin,& Nails vitamin from GNC has 3000mg of Biotin seems
to work the best for me. Hope this helps! Have a great day!

At 1st specially the 1st year I was loosing lots of hair. When I weight
stabilized and my eating habits improved the hair loss was less. Now I
experience hair loss when I am stressed and when I skip my
meals/protein/vitamins. As long as I am eating the right amount of protein
which is between 60 to 100 grams a day, take my prenatal vitamins, my D
vitamins and balance my food my hair is healthier then ever before and I
don't have to worry about hair loss anymore plus it is shinier also.
Good luck with your journey!

I lost a lot of hair and nothing seemed to help (including keep up my
protein). I started taking liquid vitamins called Passion4Life and my hair
loss has stopped and my hair is really really nice again.

time I promise!!
