My doctor said no beef or pork for 6 months. I wouldn't eat just any meat
at only 17 days out. You might want to try turkey or fish. Stay away from
all red meat.

Hello! I just had my six week check-up yesterday and was down 41 pounds.
I have been eating ANY meat since I was 10 days out. My doctor stated it
was all trial and error. I've had not problem. I eat: hamburgers,
chicken, beef stroganaf(sp?), chili, chicken wings, etc. NO PROBLEMS.
Chew, chew, chew... I know the last poster said wait six months, but my
doctor stated that if you wait that long it's much more of a shock to the
body to reintroduce it. Good luck!

The best thing I ever bought after my surgery was a baby food grinder. I
was getting so sick of yogurt and mashed potatoes. I could finally eat
normal food (ground up) w/ a broth or gravy added and baby food is
AWFUL!!!! No wonder babies spit up!! Best of luck!

Hello! The wierd thing is, my doctor had us eating chicken
and veggies before we even left the hospital! I have been
eating meats since. Just chew alot. I also found that hormel
turkey chili is awesome. I am about 2 and a half months out.
Dry meat gives me fits so make it moist and enjoy!
