Question:
How many calories per day does LapBand patients take in?
I am 6 wks post op. I had my first fill a few days ago. I have lost 24lbs. so far, most of which was water weight the first couple weeks I'm sure. I was wondering what the average calorie intake was for LapBand patients who are losing weight successfully. i.e. what do you eat on a typical "good" day? I want to be sure I am eating the way I should. I bought an ELLIPTICAL MACHINE and its being delivered to my house thurs. Cant wait to start exercising and hopefully speed up the results! — ashley32n (posted on June 14, 2009)

Hi Ashley! Congratulations on your new beginning! I am also six weeks
post-op and have lost 32 lbs. so far. My average calorie into per day is
between 750-850. I typically have a protein shake in the morning because I
love them! For lunch I may have two ounces of turkey, an ounce of cheddar
cheese, 1/2 ounce baby carrots and a 1/2 ounce of Ak-mak crackers. For
dinner I normally have three ounces of fish, either salmon, Talapia or
halibut and an ounce of veggies. As long as it's three ounces of protein
and one ounce of something else. I'm still working out the exercise
routine. I have an elliptical machine, stationary bike and an ab
lounge..... the problem is getting on it!! I've made a new commitment to
myself this morning and am going to write it down to confirm it to myself.
I am going exercise at least 45 minutes per day whether it be the
elliptical or just walking! Wish me luck!! And good luck to you once
again!
