Question:
! year post op and having vomiting issues
I had lap band surgery in March '08 and I had to have my band emptied about 1 month because I could not stop vomiting. Has anyone ever had this happen to them? What is it caused from? I am having another fill tomorrow which I desperately need because now I am always hungry. Thanks... — Kimr16 (posted on May 11, 2009)

I was having the same problem. All of a sudden I was having these problems.
I had not had an adjustment in the 8 months before this. Had some test done
and he said the bottom of my esphogus was dialated.(spelling) So he said it
had come from me trying to eat a little to much or being just a little
tight. He said he was going to empty my band and give it time to go back
down to the right size. I went without anything in it for 5 weeks. He had
said I didnt have to start all over again that he would put back just under
the amount I did have in it which was 2.5 cc's. So he put back 2. I had to
actually go back the next day because it was to tight. He said maybe we
just should have started from the beginning so he put it down to 1 cc. That
was 4 weeks ago. I have an appt for Thursday to get more. I need it badly.
I can not tell their is even 1 in there now. So I hope he will go back up
to close to 2. Anyway it solved my problem. I have not been sick anymore,
had no more problems other than I have gained a few pounds, but I had lost
some buy being sick, so I am back to the weight I had been maintaining. I
wish you luck and hope this helped. Feel free to ask anything more you
would like to know.
