Please help me! Has anyone gotten the Lapband approved by Pacificare in Texas?

Please tell me what plan you have if you were approved for the Lapband surgery by Pacificare insurance in Texas. My plan is PPO and when I called them the first time they said that they approved wls but when I called a few days later specifically about their list of surgeons that did LapBand they said it wasn't covered. Did I speak to the wrong person or something? Should I just pick a surgeon from my area and let them battle the insurance company? Please help me!    — CandieLadie (posted on June 2, 2006)
