I had mine May 5. My dr said it is normally 2-3 hrs but mine took 5 hrs
because there was scar tissue from previous surgeries. I was in hospital
for 2 1/2 days.

You can find MANY answers to your questions at this website. It is a video
presentation showing an actual SURGERY! The doctor performing the surgery
and another doctor who is an expert surgeon in this procedure answers
questions about the procedure as you watch the actual operation. It is
QUITE educational! The site is found HERE:

This is a question for your doctor because I had Dr, Jawad in Ocala,
Florida and they took me down for surgery at 8:00 and the doctor was
standing in front of my husband with his street clothes on by 8:30 and I
was in my room by 10:00 and up by noon walking the halls. This is normal
for my doctor unless he runs into serious problems.

I went in the hospital on a mOnday. I was in surgery by 7.00 am and was in
the recovery room by 10.30. But I stayed in the recovery room until 6.00
pm. I also was up and walking around by midnite.
