Yes, That is way to much food go back to your Dr. (no run) it sounds like
your stoma is open. Which means your stomach is not holding your food. you
also need to not eat that much as your body will not get used to eating
smaller portions. Remember how bad you wanted to get this surgery, Well you
need to remember that feeling everyday, so you can work on self control. I
know how hard it is . I'm almost 5 yrs. out now and still strugle with
eating small portions. If you would like to talk futher feel free to e mail
me.

Why would you even try to eat that much in the first place, knowing that
you had gastric bypass, and the whole purpose is to not eat a lot. I am
very surprised that you even know you can eat that much. Sorry, but that
is crazy. At 4 months out, you should only be able to eat a couple of
tablespoons of food and feel full. You really need to check with your
surgeon and have them look at your pouch. Perhaps it didn't take or
something. Now that you know you can eat that much, just be sure that you
eat half of that, so you don't gain weight or stretch the pouch out if that
isn't already the case.

First of all, did you know that at only four month out your staple line is
still healing and you are risking tearing it open? Second. Stop it! You
were told by your nut how much, what size portions you should eat. Don't
sabatage your journey before you even get started good. This is your window
of time for the greatest loss. Take care of that tool! Start measuring that
food. If you need to see your nutritionist again, do so by all means. Eat
on a six inch plate! I am 20 months out and still do this. I have reached
my goal in 20 months, of 115# from 224# in 12/07. I want to see you succeed
and win! You can do it. This is a gift you have been given. Take care of
it! All this comes from my heart. With love, Lesleigh in Ga.

Hi Jacob. Congrats on losing so much so far! I am 13 months out and went
from 238 to 117 in 9 1/2 months and I ate only 2 ounces per meal, per my
nuts orders. I have been very active since surgery and don't have a ton of
hanging skin..I do have some a lil and my belly hangs some, but nothing
worth worrying about. Please do talk to your nutritionist and see what you
should be eating at this time. I agree with the other posters...do not push
your limit, eat on a smaller plate, measure your foods out and eat only
that, 3 times a day with no snacking. You should not feel hungry at this
early stage. My daughter had the surgery done in mid june and she says she
feels hungry and not full ever, but I make sure she measures out her food
and eats just the 3 meals. Head hunger wreaks havoc on us! Do talk to your
clinic and get some professional advice. Don't push your limits, why even
bother? Also ...if I may be so bold to say..why waste your stomach size on
salad? it really has little or no nutritional value and no protein. Best of
luck to you and congrats again! hugs, kim

Jacob,
Ok, I get it but your pouch will stretch out a little as time goes on, but
it shouldn't have stretched out that much by now. A post op person that is
3.5 yrs out would have a pouch that can hold one cup of food. So if you
want to see how much food your pouch can hold, do the cottage cheese test.
Take one cup of cottage cheese and eat it until you are satisfied. Really
pay attention to the full or satisfied feeling. Then...........you will
know how much food you are able to eat by how much is left of the c.c.
Hope this helps and just pay attention to the satisfied feeling, not the
full sick feeling. Congrats on the amount of weight you have lost already.
That is awesome, but you should also be eating soft foods, not chicken.
That is something that comes within a yr post op. The meats are dry and
don't go down well at all and they get stuck in your stoma, so that means
you will need to throw up and start all over. take care, I hope you take
this advise and try the cottage cheese test.

THE QUESTION IS REALLY ARE YOU STILL LOSING? IN WEIGHT AND SIZES? HOW MUCH
WERE YOU ABLE TO EAT AT FIRST AFTER THE SURGERY? WHAT DOES YOUR DOCTOR SAY
OR EVEN YOUR NUTRITIONIST?
