Cyrtal, this is a hard part of your diet....finding something you're
supposed to eat that tastes good. I ate a lot of smoothies....yougurt, a
banana, maybe a little peanut butter or choc...not much jsut to flavor the
drink. I also added my protein powder to get the protein in.
I never did eat pureed tuna and stuff like that. I just didn't have the
stomach (no pun intended) for it, nor was I all that hungry. THe two weeks
of pureed foods drags on forever but it too will pass. FOr me, then and
now, the hardest part is the mental part of not eating what I like in
quantity. But then, that's what got me into trouble with my weight to
begin with.
Hang in there, it DOES get better.

the only food I ever pureed was green beans in the can. i added nothing to
them and they tasted like there was butter in them. Very good. I was afraid
to eat applesauce becasue of the sugar and yogurt the same thing. I ate a
lot of sugar free jello and carnation instant breakfast sugar free

Seems to me I've read of people pureeing almost everything from tacos to
canned chuncky soup.

I've done well with homemade mashed potatoes and sweet potatoes/yams,
pudding, and homemade smoothies. This way you can control what goes in
them.

The magic bullet was an awesome tool to puree tuna, chunky soup, etc.
Don't bother with the baby food--it does taste nasty. I thought I would
have a hard time with the pureed foods because of the consistency, but I
enjoyed them MUCH more than the liquids or even the soft food. I was
SOOOOO happy when I could eat regular foods again!

Hang in there, it only gets better from now on. My doctor said that
WENDY'S chili was a puree, so I ate a lot of that and cheesey mashed
potatoes. Just always remember to chew, chew, chew, chew, chew before you
swallow anything from now on.

I won't do baby food meat or veggies, but I like the fruits. I don't know
about the nutritional content in Gerber or other store brands, but the one
that Whole Foods carries is great. I've had applesauce and yogurt, but only
small amounts due to the sugar content, and I *love* warm mashed hard
boiled eggs with a dash of salt and pepper. Whole Foods also sells some
really good organic creamed soups ... I have bought almost everything from
there.

Progresso 0 point soups, home made bean soup (lots of protein!) sugar free
applesauce, mashed bananas, sugar free jello, popsickles and puddings,
mashed carrots and sweet potatos (I used the butter spray and that worked
quite nicely for flavor) ground beef and ground chicken (eat them slowly),
cottage cheese, yogurt, peanut butter...
I still eat a lot of these things (three months out here) and love/tolerate
them. Being thinner is so much more desirable than having a distaste for
any food (if that makes sense). In other words, I tolerated things I may
not like very much for the simple fact that there is a light at the end of
the tunnel!

Baby food is gross unless you are the baby and have no idea! LOL...I
enjoyed pureed chicken breast which can be found canned. You place it in
the blender with a little cream of chicken soup and umm umm DELICIOUS. Make
sure to season it up good! Also, protein shakes were, and still are, my
best friend. I have lost 37 lbs and I owe it all to protein!! :)
Hope this helps!

I would put canned chicken or tuna with egg and fat free mayo or miracle
whip in my Magic Bullet and puree till it was very mushy. Tiny bites. I
also took soups with beans, make sure it has no pasta, and would puree
those with the Magic Bullet and pop in microwave. I sipped with a spoon. A
mashed sweet potato moistened even more with low fat marjorine. Also
refried beans heated with LF cheese . Just make sure you mash up any whole
beans. I ate plenty of LF yogurt, SF jello, and SF pudding too. All were
tasty to me. Always tiny bites and very slow eating. Good luck. It won't
last forever.

I had pureed chicken soup, beef stew, chicken and rice, pinto beans with
cheese. I had all the real foods but pureed and I ate with a baby spoon.

Never ate pureed food, did a liquid diet for 3 weeks, and then started off
with soft food, eggs, cottage cheese, yogurts, etc.

I ate a lot of chicken salad. I have always made it in the food processsor,
so it fit right in with the diet. Typically i put any left over ckn, mayo,
onion, red bell peppers. chop ckn and veggies very well, add mayo and puree
together. sometimes i add grapes or apples, maybe pecans or walnuts, or
chs. Usually it's what ever i have on hand that sounds good. But the
texture is good, and you can season to taste. I use to serve it on a bed of
green leaf lettuce w/ a wedge of tomato. It's nice as an appetizer or snack
for guest w/ crackers. When i make it for guest, i puree the meat and
veggie and mayo, then stir in quartered graped or chopped apples and
chopped nuts. Guest always love it. My family can't get enough of it and
know that they will get ckn salad when there's left over ckn. Good luck.

I found that blending anything in the blender that the family was eating
went down well. I really enjoyed porkchops mixed with green beans or
mashed potatoes. Good luck
