Why not, if the food is on your plan from the DR.

Looks like a cabbage roll or "stuffed cabbage" as I call it, has
a lot of good things in it, but an awful lot of fat and not as much protein
as I'd though it would...I just made this myself recently...I had no
idea...that's why I looked it up for you...me...US! LOL
If you make it yourself try to find a leaner recipe or substitute ground
beef for ground turkey or chicken...and use less rice maybe??? You
decide...Quite honestly, I like it with lean ground beef...I can only eat
it once in awhile as it is very rich in flavor. ( I don't eat much beef at
all since surgery..It hits my belly like a rock!) Even after 4 years.

My sister, girlfriend and I made 265 cabbage rolls on Sunday...ummmm ummm
good. I make mine with beef, pork and bacon. As well we pickle the heads
of cabbage. They are definitely not low cal.! I plan on having one each
week as I would much rather have this then cake or cookies. It is my treat
to myself. If I try to deny myself something then I end up making myself
crazy. I have what I want but in moderation. Enjoy your weekly cabbage
roll!! Gale

At 3 months out, as long as you watch your fat and sugar intake, you can
eat anything you want.

I don't have an answer to your question, but I have never had a cabbage
roll and it sounds really good. Can someone tell me how to make them or
give a recipe?

Cabbage Rolls are made with cabbage leaves filled with ground beef and
rice, with tomato sauce. I would nmake sure the Ground Beef was lein and
use a little olive Oil, I would use splenda in place of sugar and rather
than corn startch Atkin's makes a thickner for the Atkins diet that I would
use. Rice is something that you should wait 6 months for but if you watch
the total calories, you should be OK making them yourself for your diet.
INGREDIENTS:
12 cabbage leaves
.
Filling:
1 pound ground beef-Lean
3/4 cup cooked rice
1/2 cup finely chopped onion
1 egg
2 teaspoons salt
1 teaspoon pepper
1/2 cup milk-Skim

I'm 9wks out and i would like to know if it's okay as well. I tried cabbage
on New Years and got gas pockets that sent me to the emergency room for 5
hours. I love cabbage rolls i'm wondering if i should wait until the 5th or
6mth. for the groundbeef. Please let me know when you find out.

Every doctor has a different food plan. Mine does not allow cabgabe, red
meat or rice until after the 6th month.
