My doctor told me 60-70 grams a day! But all doctors are different so you
may want to give them a call and find out too.
Good luck, Diane

My doctor says 80 grams per day, due to some malabsorbtion with RNY. I
have found that I have craved fish since surgery. I found some really good
fish, frozen, called Oven Poppers. They are various mild fish types,
stuffed with things like crabmeat, shrimp and broccili with cheese. High
protein and low calories. Also, Unjury protein powder is also a very good
source of protein, with 20 grams and 90 calories per serving.
VERY good is vanilla mixed with flat orange diet soda.

Do you mean how to get it in? What are you using for protein supplement?
I use powders that give me appx 30g protein with less than 4g sugar when
made with water. I like 'em in about 8 oz, but if I have to use room temp
(yuck) water, then I use only 4 oz

I think protein needs vary depending on what you weigh. Your nutritionist
should really be giving you this info. Mine wants me to get 60 grams per
day, approx. 21-30 from meals and the rest from milk/protein powders or
yogurt.

I start everyday with a protein drink (Zero Carbs IsoPure). It gives me
50gm of proteins and ZERO carbs!! I get more than half of my protein intake
in one drink! I use creamy vanilla flavor and sometimes add fresh
strawberries or fresh pineapple to add some excitement to it! My goal is to
have at least 65 gm of protein a day, but more if possible.
I have started my days with a protein drink 4 months before my surgery and
continue now at 7 weeks post-OP
