Question:
I would like to know if I have to wait 1 hour to drink after a protien shake
I am having trouble fitting my shakes and 3 meals a day in. I would love any suggestions about how you schedule your day for meals and shakes. Thanks so much Cindy — CindySue66 (posted on June 6, 2006)

Hey Cindy, No you don't have to wait an hour after you drink your protein
shakes. What I do is in the morning I have a protein latte. I seem to be
more thirsty in the morning so usually drink that for breakfast. Then
between that and my lunch I'll drink one to two 16 ounce drinks. Then I
have my lunch and then I have some more to drink before I go to work. Then
I have my supper and then I have more to drink and then I have a snack when
I get home from work. I hope I've helped you take care and goodluck.

Hi Cindy...liquids in the beginning are tough...you will get the hang of
it. Protein shakes are liquid too so they will slide righ tthrough your
pouch like water so you can drink rihgt away after you finish one. Best
wishes to you!!!

Hi Cindy, I am 10 months out so my situation is a little different than
yours. I have found that I can drink most things up until I eat and then
have to be sure to wait at least 30 minutes after eating. At your stage I
stuck strickly to the 30 min. rule. Some foods I have to wait longer. If
I still feel that real full feeling I wait the full hour or longer. I also
notice that protein drinks are more of a full liquid than thinner things
like crystal light & therefore tend to make the fullness feeling worse.
Hope I've helped.
