I kept hoping somebody with personal experience would answer your question
but since noboday has come forward yet I guess I will tell you about my
sister-in-law. She started Cymbalta about two weeks ago, now she hasn't
had gastric surgery but she has been having stomach cramps and constant
pain in her stomach every time she eats. She is thinking about asking her
doctor to change just due to the fact that her stomach doesn't appear to be
handling it well. So I would recommend reminding your doctor that you had
gastric surgery and just double check and then if you begin to have
problems, be sure to tell him right away!!
Good Luck,
Kelly

I started taking Cymbalta before I had RNY in January. It is a good
anti-depressant. I find that I can only take it at night. I get very
nausea from it. Sometime I still wake up the next morning sick to my
stomach. Just one side effect for me I guess. Good Luck!
