Question:
Has anyone tried TURKEY BACON?
I have been eating Louis Rich turkey bacon recently. I am 9 mos post op, down 215 lbs!! Was just wondering if anyone else had tried turkey bacon. I tried Jenny-o and it was terrible!!! The Butterball brand is good, but the Louis Rich is just wonderful. — OLD RODEO C. (posted on August 9, 2002)

I agree Doug, it is yummy. I have also been using ground turkey in any
reciepe that calls for ground beef, I cannot tell the difference.
P.S. Love your Profile page, you cowboy you

I've tried the Louis Rich and the Butterball varieties. One suggestion,
oven-bake it instead of fry it. Looks a little strange, but is much better
for you than the old fry pan.

I am a vegetarian and eat a lot of that kind of food. In addition yves
makes great veggie dogs that are made from soy protein. no fat or
cholesterol and 1 gm carb. 11 grams of protein. My daughter and other kids
eat these and don't know that they are made of soy. In addition morningstar
has really good stuff, my favorite are the chick patties. Good luck. Let me
know if you need more information.

I've never tried it before, but a nurse told me that it is basically the
same healthwise as regular bacon. Good Luck!

I'm still pre-op, but I LOVE Louis Rich turkey bacon. Have been eating it
for years. I sure hope I can still have it after surgery! The only reason I
could find for not being able to eat it is it can be alitte tough, but hey,
alot of post-ops eat beef jerky, so, hey it can't be bad!

Louis Rich bacon is really good. I think you will enjoy it if you can
tolerate it.
