Question:
Has any one tried protica?
I saw an ad for this stuff, and wondered if it would be a good supplement? — slherrin (posted on November 5, 2008)

The ASMBS (society of bariatric surgeons) has advised "caution on
collagen" products. Most of the protein in this product, and some of
the other "test tube" shaped products, is
collagen.------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I tred to locate the type of protein in this "bullet". It's
commonly referred to as hydorlized, mentions soy, and when, but never
actually states what protein is exactly in it. Whey isolate is the best,
and I have found that Baricare ( a new product) tastes good, comes in choc,
vanilla, or custard, has 20 grams of WHEY ISOLATE protein, and 5000% RDA of
B12. It's noted on my blogs. DAVE

I haven't tried that one but I have tried New Whey shots they have two
Protein amounts. I chose the higher one which is 42g. They have three
flavors that I know of which are orange, grape, and fruit punch. I like
the fruit punch. It was on my surgeon's list of recommended supplements.
Hope that helps. - Corina

I haven't tried anything other than the products from Bariactric Choices.
They market the same products my surgeon provided and will send free
samples with a large enough order. This has helped rule out some of their
products but continue with the quality of protein that I have had since
surgery. Check them out.
