Question:
Having surgery this month, daughter's school trip in late May, should I go?
My daughter's school is going to a amusement park May 31, I will be having my surgery April 24th. I know it depends on how I am feeling. I don't plan on riding roller coasters, but I am concerned about the heat, the walking, too much too soon syndrome. I thought as long as I packed alot of water and my meal, perhaps a protein bar, that I would be okay. Or should I just let the hubby go, lol! — Dina M. (posted on April 20, 2002)

I say GO, you should be with your daughter, bring your water, you should be
fine, if you have lap you will be feeling great within days. HAVE FUN!!!!

I know at 5 weeks I was not strong enough for an all day
walking trip. I probably would have only lasted a couple of hours. I did
have it open so it may be different for laps. If you are suppose to
chaperone kids I think you should decline this year. It was 6 weeks before
I felt good but still tired easy. 8 weeks before I felt strong.
