I am sorry to hear about your wife. I think that you should get a second
opinion.

I did the same thing at first you have to use a baby spoon and take break
in between the bite stay on soft food for a long time I couldn't eat hard
food for about 5 months and I am about 7 months now and still have some
problems eating some foods. sorry to hear about it and get a second
opinion. tell her to take her time and let her self heal.

The foamies as we call it is due to not chewing food well enough so it
doesn't get stuck in the opening to the stomach. That opening is only the
size in width of your little pinkie. So she must chew very very well and
take small bites. She needs to take her time eating. Don't be in a hurry
to eat and swallow. It will happen in due time. So the
"Foamies" are due to not chewing well. The yellow colored skin
sounds like "Yaundice" to me but I am no doctor. If she has
liquid bowels movements, then make sure she drinks enough water to where
she isn't getting dehydrated. The runs are probably due to a medication,
the issue in itself, ask her doctor if she can use Immodium to stop the
runs, but she really needs to drink the water. I know that is probably the
last thing she wants to do, but it will actually help with her problem.
Pancreitis could also be why your wife is yellow. What did the doctor say
about her being yellow. Did you get meds for her pancreas? Go to the doc
one more time and find out about the pancreas, the runs, and yellow skin.
Keep us posted, hang in there, once this issue is behind her, weight loss
surgery is going to be appreciated.

I agree, I'd get a second opinion from another bariatrician. She has
Jandice, and that has to do with the liver. If she had pancriatitis that is
the reason she is yellow, but I wouldn't wait for her to get worse. Hope
all works out for her. Post a follow-up on this!

This just goes to show what can go wrong. Some doctors are not as in tune
with some patients and problems arise. Is there another bariatric doctor in
your area? Check with your insurance and see who else they recommend. i
wish you all the best.

My doctor told me to make a smoothie with a banana for the
"runs". Your wife may be eating too fast but she should only be
on pureed foods right now. I can't imagine a doctor telling a patient she
was getting sick just to get drugs especially at a university setting.
Maybe you need another doctor.
