Question:
What if I dont have 2 years of medical records to submit to my insurance company?
MY insurance required a 6 month diet which I started last month as well as a phyc eval and dietician eval, and I have done both of those...the last thing required was 1 to 2 years of past medical records..I don't have any because before I couldn't afford to see a doctor regularly..what happens if I dont have past records to submit? — jennibear (posted on August 7, 2011)

Good Morning Jennibear! You need to contact your insurance carrier for
direction with this concern. Clearly, if you don't have the records, you
don't have them. They will understand that.

I did not have them either because I had not been to a Dr either. My
insurance company was fine with that.

I have heard of people submitting pics with dates on them and getting
covered, which I was going to do, but I remembered that I had 2 ER visits
in 2010 and 2009. I went to the hospitals record dept and the paperwork
had my height and weight. So my surgeon will submit those. I hope they
work. Good Luck!

I had the same problem. My GP retired and I hadn't been to any doctor in
2010. I ended up submitting my online weight tracking records from
caloriecount.com for 2010, along with doctor recorded weights from 2009 and
2008. It worked and I am officially 2 weeks post surgery. Good Luck to
you!!!
