Question:
Motion Sickness and Dramamine

Going on a bus trip tomorrow. 12 weeks out from gastric (down 40+) wondering if anyone else has taken this medication after gastric. Also wondering if anyone found that their motion sickness went away after surgery? I know I can call the DR but have hard a hard time not getting the run around from the PCP and surgeon.    — elder1104 (posted on December 4, 2009)

Hi. I am 11 weeks post op Lap RNY. I can take Dramamine fine and my doctor said it was fine as I have suffered with frequent dizziness and motion sickness all of my life. I take the Walgreens brand which is Meclizine instead of the dramamine though. It works as well but does not cause the drowsiness. Good Luck
