Question:
What to eat?
I am still pre-op, but I would still like to eat sensibly on Thanksgiving. Does anyone have any ideas of what or how I should eat to not "over-do it"? — merehern (posted on November 25, 2009)

I saw that you're having your surgery in January...Congrats! If you want
to kind of "practice" what t-day will be like after surgery then
I would suggest that you eat all the protein first, then veggies and limit
your carbs. Like maybe have a small spoon of dressing and no roll. And if
you REALLY want to do good don't eat dessert. My first t-day after surgery
was so strange! Instead of getting a plate full and going back for more I
ate all my food on a kids plate. Good luck!

for holidays I eat teh whole meal, but split it between my meals..lol I
had a deviled egg for breakfast, will have turkey and dressing for dinner,
then pumpkin pie for last meal..minus the crust, etc..I have done well
doing it this way. I do eat the squash, and a tiny bite of potatoes with
gravy, etc. Have a great meal and enjoy! hugs,Kim
