If you find the urge to eat constant find some safe foods like Veg and keep
them on hand to crunch on. Cut out the carbs for now so you do not get
waylaid by sugar cravings that can lead to fast weight gain.
Try to have a good balance of fruits veg and protiens.
Weight watchers or over eaters anon maybe good groups to join in the
struggle. You can do it, you just need to take controlof your life.

Linda, I had my band removed March of this year. I am now about 8 weeks
post op RNY. I remember I had to really control myself because I was able
to eat normal. The only thing that saved me was my commitment to RNY
surgery on June 09, 2009. I wish I had RNY back in 2005 instead of the
band.

Hi Linda, I had my band removed in January. What a nightmare! All I
wanted to do was eat with my normal stomach after five years. I gained 60
pounds in 6 months and knew I could not continue down that path. I had the
vertical gastric sleeve on Sept. 10 and already know that I have a second
chance at success. The surgery was very easy, and I have lost a pound a
day since my one week pre-op. I down 18 pounds. The band does not work
well for everyone, but it is not the only answer, so don't loose hope. The
surgeon that did my band did the sleeve surgery as a revision, so the cost
was not as much. Please consider doing some type of revision before you
regain your weight. You are not alone. Talk to your surgeon and good
luck!
