Question:
Looking for a protein pill
I know another question, I am just full of them today. The longer i sit here the more I think about it. Has anyone ever heard of a protein pill? If so where can you get them? Thanks to all the answers to all my questions. — missyheffelfinger (posted on March 25, 2007)

Hi Missy....first, about the protien drinks. I had a hard time as well
till after learning about Hoods Chocolate Milk. I get mine at Walmart. It
has little sugar and some protien. What I do is add vanilla whey that I
also get at Walmart to a glass and run in my bullet for a few and add ice.
It is real close to tasting like a chocolate malt to me. I love my protien
drinks now!! Also you can get protien powder that is optimized for cooking
and I add this to my coffee and can't tell the difference. It's quite
yummy as well. Just google those two products and see where the closest
place is for you to purchase. Now as for the protien pills....I too looked
into this back when I was having so much trouble getting down the protien
drinks and the problem is you would have to swallow so many of these
protien pills it is not obtainable. So my best advice is to give other
protien drinks a try till you find that one you like. I know, it can be a
pain in the butt, but I am sooo happy now and look forward to my drink.
Give it a try, it just might be the one for you too! If not, keep looking,
it's out there.
Good luck!

There ARE protein pills. 3 pills = 1g. So, to get 60g, you'd eat 180
pills. Nice choice, huh? Buy samples, try them several different ways.
There ARE hundreds of types of proteins suitable for us (another couple
hundred NOT suitable for us) and then thousands of ways to make them taste
good TO YOU.

Hi Missy, it sounds like you are having quite a time with the protein.
Hopefully you have had some suggestions that work for you by now, but I
think I gave mine to you a few days ago. Regarding a protein pill, I have
heard someone ask about them before and the answer was that since protein
is also a "volume" thing, it is hard for them to pill form
protein, so I personally don't know of a protein pill. It would be nice
though, I think I wound consider it. I have never heard of anyone having
trouble with the texture of proteins after surgery, was this a problem
before surgery? You may have to adjust yourself to the different textures,
atleast for a time to get what you need. You really need protein and
water. I hope you are getting some in. Take care. Patricia P.

I've just bought the Nectar Roadside Lemonaide. It's actually pretty good.
I add a little lemon juice to it and put it in my bullet with ice. I have
a little trick: if you put it into a container with a lid and use a straw
the smell isn't right there and that helps a lot! (Not that it smells
horrible or anything, it's just not true lemonaide and I know it) I also
put some frozen strawberries in and make strawberry lemonaide. You can
water it down if it's too strong, whatever you like. But in the end
Michelle is right. There are so many protein powders out there that are
suitable for us, we just have to find the one that is right for us.
