Same thing happned to me. I was not till about 8 to 9 weeks out that I was
felling fine while eating. I was so upset and about in tears. Even now I
will have days that I really cant eat much of anything. Things I would
normaly eat make me ill. Trust me i know it is hard but it will pass. Just
remeber your insides have totaly changed. You bodie is still trying to
figure out how to grove with the new tummy. Take it easy. 1 day at a time.
I promiss it will get better. You just need time! Best of Luck to you.

Hi Mandy...I also grabed some soup one day and was sooo sick after. My own
fault..didnt read the sugar content.it was way to high. I have to watch
everything really close. No matter what brand/kind of milk I use is to high
in sugar for me. So, I now mix protein in water, ice & yogart or fruit.
I wish you well..

Dear Mandy,
I feel so badly for you, I am so sorry, but it gets better. I can't tell
you what to eat or drink, but what I can tell you is what I was allowed to
eat and drink. I must have to this day 60 grams of protein, I do not do
well with actual meat so I must supplement with shakes. I also must have
64 oz of liquids daily. My Dr didn't allow me to have any carbs until I
lost 75% of my weight, and to tell you the truth I was fine with it. I was
never hungry and it was a chore to get down all my liquids and shakes. A
month out I tried to eat cheese, like cottege, and ricotta. I also ate
beans, my NUT at first didn't want me too but it was on the diet and beans
went down very nicely for me.
You need to ask your Dr what you should be eating my friend. Each Dr is
different in what they want you to have. I was limited to sugar as well
and to tell you the truth I am so happy for it now.
This has been a very rough road, but like I said before, I would do it in a
heart beat again.
Good luck!

Hi! Congrats on the surgery! I think that feeling bad is normal because
we want to lose the weight to get healthy and feel like eating is cheating,
but you have to eat to lose the weight. Our bodies are designed to go into
starvation mode if we consume too little, so you must eat. I can relate to
the 'guilt' feelings tho. I think all of us have had this to varying
degrees. If it continues to be an issue, talk with your clinics nurses and
nutritionist about it. They have dealt with all kinds of issues pertaining
to this type of surgery. Just rememeber to keep your meals as small as
possible, for as long as possible, but follow the guidelines set up by your
clinic. I am 21 months out and have lost 120 lbs. I met goal in about 10
months and have maintained since. I followed all the rules.. to the letter
and still only eat 4 ounces at a meal..4 x a day and have 1 snack of 100
calories or less a day. So 5 times I eat and then of course I drink all the
fluids etc. Life does get easier with time and choices become easier too.
Once you really see a difference in your health and body image, you will
find yourself not wanting to eat 'bad' foods. So hang in there and eat when
you are suppose to without feeling bad...
now if your issue is feeling sick,... then check the contents for sugar
levels, make sure you aren't eating/drinking too fast..as this can cause
air in the pouch and will hurt, or make you ill. Make sure when you eat
solids you chew it enough ...take small bites and chew chew chew. ..if you
still continue to feel sick, or have to vomit after eating anything...then
call your clinic as you could have developed a stricture. I hope I was able
to help you... Have a great Easter, and God Bless, Hugs,Kim

One thing you need to watch for is are you eatting to fast and is the food
to dry. Both will cause you to feel bad .

Everyone is different as to what their body will tolerate.I'm 8yrs postop
and still have issues with some foods. .The surgery though is soooo worth
it. I cant eat any ice cream or milk products, but can eat chocolate and
small amounts of candy. Just eat smaller amounts and slower. If you keep a
log youll be able to figure out what your body will now tolerate. Then just
shy away from those things. Good luck
