I just had my revision on Dec. 31. I had a fistula that was causing pain and pressure and a weight gain of 50 pounds. The doctor said that it was making me hungry all the time. It has been 5 years since the orininal RNY. Similar to your story. The revision went very well. I was worried because I am 5 years older, 58, but I am still 100 pounds less than original. I still have the G-tube and am only eating soups and soft foods. This is because the doctor wants to give the scar tissue time to heal. If I can help you please feel free to e-mail me. Tawnda

Have the surgery and get rid of the fistula. I had one from a different surgery several years ago, and I was ever so happy after putting off the decision to have it addressed. It could have an effect on your weight loss and you did not go through all of this just to let this one thing interupt your progress.

Sounds like a staple line disruption, this is very common in non transected patients. Causes weight gain and bad painful ulcers. Its important the revision surgery transect you, so it cant happen again. Michelle Curran the vita lady had this trouble occur to her
