Question:
one a-day

This may sound silly but I noticed the some people on this site say you should take 2 vitaman a day. I take one a-days and I do only take one a day should I be taking 2?    — bntfive (posted on March 23, 2006)

Yes, I use them also and was instructed that I need to take them twice a day. Robin.S

I think it depends on the vitamins you take. I know optisource you take with breakfast, lunch, dinner and bedtime.

Remember wit RNY you're not absorbing all of that one vitamin, that's why you have to take two. But, ask your surgeon and see what he tells you....

I take 2 multi vits/ 8 calcium citrate/ extra iron, mag b-12 and vit C. Not all at once--spaced out over the day. Never take the iron with the calcium, and never take any of them with caffine. Good luck! Bek RNY 4/9/01

My Dr. requires 2 multi vitamins a day for the first year. Good luck!

i also have to take vitiams 2 a day and that because with the gastric bypass . we are not aborbing it . that making sure we get what we need but ask ur doc to make sure

By all means all your doctor first before taking 2 of anything! There are so many doctors and half of them differ in some way or another. One may tell you one thing while one down the hall way will tell you just the oppsite.

I'm 3yrs post op & I take a multi I order from PurityProducts.com called the Perfect Multi. It calls for 4 a day but I just take 2. I've been taking these for 2 yrs & for me work much better than any I have bought at the store.
