Question:
How long is a person usually out from school/work while recovering

from breast implants? I am a surgical tech student and I have to work in the OR twice a week doing internship and I am planning to have breast implants done, I am 2 years post op and maintaining my weight loss so I feel comfortable going ahead with plastic surgery. How long will I be out while recovering? I was hoping that a 7-9 days would be enough. If any one has any comments I would really like to hear from you. I have my consult on Feb. 8th and I am hoping to have surgery late Feb.-early March.    — KittyKatt (posted on December 5, 2005)

I had a breast reduction in 2004 and I stayed of work for 5 weeks. I stayed out of work the same amount of time for my WLS this past Sept.

I had lapband on Tuesday and was back at work Monday. I wish I'd given it one more day though; a week seems about right.
