Question:
I've lost my menu plan for the amount I'm suppose to be eating
I had RNY June of 08 and feel like I've fallen off the wagon. I wanted to see how much protein, fruit and veggies I'm suppose to be eating for breakfast/lunch/dinner. Need to get back on track before it's too late. I don't want to head down that road AGAIN... :) — * S. (posted on January 25, 2010)

Contact your surgeon's nutritionist. They will have everything you need.
Your surgeon & their staff are there for you for anything you have
concerns about or problems with. They are "your" personal medical
team. Take advantage of their care & expertise when you need it. Good
luck.

I can tell you what guidelines i was given for after one year out.. Three
meals a day, 5 hours apart, 1 cup of food.\, 1200 calories a day, Protein
first, then fruits and vegtables then grains, 60 to 80 grams of protein, do
not drink for 1/2 hour after meals. From reading many posts here, I can
tell you that doctors have a wide variety of recommendations. Can you talk
to the nutrionist or doctors office and ask them to mail you a copy of the
guidelines? I am terrified of eventuall ruining my surgery. I have lost
120 pounds in the past and regained it without the sugery. I am only one
month out from a RNY. I am sorry that you are struggling.

Each of us are given a diet particular to us as an individual person. You
need to just ask even if it is over the phone to your NUT they would have a
copy of what they origionaly gave you.AND.. They might be able to tweak it
for you as your needs have changed over the last year.
