Hi, from Westchester NY here. Had Gastric Bypass on July 21, 2009 and was
a size 24. As of today I am a size 14. I have lost 77 pounds since the
start. I fell great, no problems, I think it was the best thing I ever
did. I should have done it sooner. Thank you to my doctor, Dr. Kaul.

I am 5 feet also and started at 260. I had my surgery Dec. 8,2008. I have
lost 94 lbs. I still have about 45 to go. I would do it again tomorrow if I
needed to. BTW I had RNY surgery. Which surgery are you planning on having?

I am 5'1 started at 238 my day of laproscopic RNY I was 224 on 09/01/09 now
I am 192 last I checked keep in touch I hope this helps because what I have
seen is that since we dont have as much to lose we lose a bit slower than
the people that are over 300lbs. Sometimes people dont realize how high
our bmi is since we are verticaly challenged..

Maria I had RNY 18mths ago. I am 5ft and weighed 212, wore a size 2-24 and
now I have been in a 2-4 for the last 10 months and weight 112 to 115 and
have been stable weight for the last 6 months. It is possible but lots of
hard work and committment on your part. Jan

I'm 32 years old, 5' tall and am 13 months post RNY. I was 260 pounds the
morning of my surgery and buying size 24/26. Today I am 146 pounds, and
buying size 8/10. I am very happy with my decision and feel better than I
have in YEARS!

Beginning weight = 292.9, BMI = 51.0, 11/4/08
Weight today = 185, last BMI 34.3 in August @ 193 lbs.
I go see my surgeon again Nov 10th.
Prior to surgery I had hyperlipidemia, HTN, coronary artery disease with 5
stents, suffered depression, diabetes, thyroid problems, gallstones,
uterine cancer, asthsma, arthritis, sleep apnea and fibromyalsia. I was on
18 meds, some twice a day. I now take two meds and have lost about 100
lbs. I am so thankful and feel so blessed to have met
my weight loss team and my dear Dr. Anez. I was truly on my
way out of this world and in a size 5X and/or 30/32. So I call myself
quite a success! I continue to pray for guidance and strength to go on and
do the right things. Some days are difficult! Especially when I think I'm
OK and know I'm still sick in the head. My thinking change is
the hardest to accomplish and second hardest is to exercise. I do not have
one exercise gene in my body!
Blessings to all in our WLS world!
