Question:
Still so bloated?

Hi! I have tried on jeans, pants, skirts, that fit me comfortably at pre-op, about 230 pounds...now I am 180 and these clothes are very uncomfortable around my stomach, and I just wear stretchy bottom clothes, sweat pants and stuff. I actually went thru two surgeries, one on Feb 23rd 2006, and one for complications on March 20th 2006, but I had the same issue even before the second surgery. I just wanted to know when should I expect this swelling to go down a bit? And if anyone else experienced this? I am not trying to put on a size 8 jeans...LOL just the clothes I was wearing when I was 50 pounds heavier.    — Kayla (posted on April 14, 2006)

Have you taked to your surgeon about the swelling? I don't think post-op WLS should cause swelling. It could be a hernia or something else. Good luck. Cathy

I am about 50 pds down, and notice the loss of inches everywhere EXCEPT my waist. Its weird, but I dont have any answers, just wanted to let you know I feel the same way.
