Question:
Is it possible to develop a Stricture at 4 months out?

I had my surgery on Mar 7 02, I have been surprised at how easy it has been and sometimes felt like I could eat too much. However, for the last 4 days it seems my pouch won't empty and I have to make myself throw up at night to feel human. Any suggestions? What should I do?    — Ro M. (posted on July 2, 2002)

Call your surgeon, NOW! It could be a stricture, it could be the beginnings of ... oh... what do they call it... it is a blockage in your intestines. Are you sure you are still chewing really well? Not taking too big of bites? I had that problem and thought it was a stricture at 3 months... but to be safe, call your surgeon. Let me know how it comes out! Good Luck, and Hugs!

I had my surgery April 15 and I also have the same feelings. One week I have no problems and the next week, it seems like nothing goes through and I end up feeling very sick to my stomach because I haven't been to the bathroom. It eventually ends up feeling that something is "stuck" and I make myself throw up. I thought it was just me. I would be interested, also, in similiar experiences.
