Question:
Which Insurance companies in Maryland cover the gastric bypass???
I currently do not have health insurance, simply because i can not afford it, my employer does not offer insurance at all, I have been concerned about my weight now for awhile, diets dont work for me, so ive decided to turn to surgery, I am 27 years old, and i dont want to die anytime soon. If anyone has any directions they can point me in i would appreciate it very much. Thank you — Tblondie1981 (posted on November 15, 2008)

I had my RNY done in Mexico, last month by Dr Aguirre, he and his team are
awesome. They go through belightweight in California,,(i think they are in
California) there website is on Alejandro Aguirre, website, but if you can
try to go straight through the doctor. skip the belightweight! They pulled
a "fast one" on me and I ended up paying $500.00 more than they
had quoted me! Thats the only thing I regret about the whole thing. The
doctors are awesome and the care was great! If you have any questions about
it ,, you can email me.!! I would be glad to answer any ?? I can! Good
luck!!

I also went to Mexico. I had Dr. Acceves in Calexico, Mexico. They have
financing options that you can use. Their prices vary from around $7500 for
the band-$12,500 for GNY. I had a wonderful experience (if any surgery can
be a wonderful experience). I loved Dr. Acceves and the staff treated me
like royalty. You can google Dr Acceves and it will take you straight to
his web site. Good luck with your future

I was a self pay so I completely understand your plight. There are some
medical credit cards that are fairly easy to obtain from what I understand.
I would recommend that you do whatever it takes to save your life....
borrow, ask family members to help you by lending you money, whatever you
have to do... it's a great investment. Sorry, not much help, I just wanted
you to know that even though it sounds like a lot of money, it's a drop in
the bucket to save your life. Best of luck,

Besides Mexico you could also consider India. In the database of OH you can
find several options. Good luck with this difficult decision.
